Curley’s Famous Mummy Dogs
Easy Oven-Baked Halloween Treat
Pastry-wrapped sausages with Curley’s Famous Barbecue Sauce and playful mummy eyes — a simple Halloween snack served with extra sauce for dipping.

How To Make It
- 1
Heat the oven according to the pastry package directions, usually 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
Brush each sausage lightly with Curley’s Famous Barbecue Sauce. Avoid using too much so the pastry stays crisp.
- 3
Cut the pastry into thin strips. Wrap each sausage in pastry strips, leaving a small gap near one end for the mummy’s face.
- 4
Place the wrapped sausages on the baking sheet. Brush the pastry with beaten egg, if using.
- 5
Bake according to the pastry package directions, usually 15–20 minutes, until puffed and golden.
- 6
Let cool slightly, then add eyes with mustard or edible candy eyes. Serve with Curley’s Famous Barbecue Sauce for dipping.
For a bit more zip, try Curley’s Famous Spicy Barbecue Sauce for brushing or dipping. *Pastry brands vary: follow your package’s temperature and timing. Use fully cooked sausages or frankfurters; cook raw sausages fully according to their package directions before wrapping.
