Quick & Easy
Hickory BBQ Glazed Salmon
Skillet to Broiler
Curley's Hickory has enough structure and sweetness to stand up to salmon without overwhelming it. This is a 15-minute weeknight recipe that tastes like you put in real effort.
How To Make It
- 1
Whisk together Curley's Famous Hickory BBQ Sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and garlic. Reserve ¼ of mixture for serving.
- 2
Pat salmon fillets dry. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- 3
Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high. Add a thin layer of oil. Place salmon skin-side down. Press gently with a spatula for 30 seconds to prevent curling.
- 4
Cook skin-side down 4–5 minutes until skin is crispy and salmon is cooked two-thirds up the side.
- 5
Brush top and sides of salmon generously with the Hickory glaze. Transfer pan to oven broiler on high.
- 6
Broil 3–4 minutes until glaze is caramelized and salmon just flakes when pressed. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
- 7
Serve over rice or roasted vegetables. Drizzle reserved sauce around the plate. Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.
The soy sauce and rice vinegar thin out the Curley's Hickory just enough to create a proper glaze consistency. Without this step, the sauce is too thick and burns under the broiler before it caramelizes.
