Spicy Honey-Glazed Chicken Wings
Oven Baked
The sweet-heat combination here is exactly what makes Curley's Spicy so useful. The honey cuts the fire slightly without killing it. You get both in every bite.
How To Make It
- 1
Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with a wire rack.
- 2
Pat wings completely dry with paper towels — this is critical for crispiness. Toss with baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- 3
Spread wings on wire rack in a single layer. Bake 20 minutes, flip, bake 20 more minutes until skin is deeply golden and crispy.
- 4
While wings bake, melt butter in a small saucepan. Add Curley's Famous Spicy BBQ Sauce and honey. Stir over low heat 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- 5
Transfer hot wings to a large bowl. Pour spicy honey glaze over wings. Toss to coat evenly.
- 6
Return sauced wings to the rack for 5 minutes in the oven to set the glaze.
- 7
Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese and plenty of napkins.
Baking powder on the wings sounds counterintuitive but it raises the pH of the skin, breaking down proteins and creating significantly crispier results without frying.
